APP. GAMES

We all know the apps for ordering from our takeaways, and the apps for checking
the prices of items through their bar codes, but when you want to while away ten
minutes or even an hour, there are some great game apps out there – and they
cost less than you think.
All genres are represented – from simple ping pong games we all love remember if
we are of a certain age, to first person shooters  and the graphics can be
surprisingly good for such a small engine.
The beauty of game apps is that you can actually find FREE games. You may be
forgiven for thinking that a free app is a poor app, but no. Some of the games
are free for a ‘limited period only’ and these are the ones to bag when the
opportunity arises. Others are ‘limited download’ of a game which is for sale in
the full version (these are great because you can try before you buy).

Some good examples of free games are ‘Call of Mini – Zombies’, ‘Infinity Blades’
and, though not strictly a game, ‘Shark fingers 3D’.
If you are ever in doubt as to which games to choose there is a free app called
‘Top 1000 Free Apps’ – I think the title self explains it all.
After you’ve explored the free apps, then it’s up to you how much you invest but
the games are normally from .69p upwards. Some titles worth a mention are
‘Modern Combat 2’ at £4.99, ‘Prince of Persia – Warrior Within’ at £1.99 (both
with free demo apps) and ‘Need for Speed’ at .69p.
As I am writing a critique on gaming apps I will just voice one personal gripe.
When people spend .69p on a game and then comments that it’s ‘not worth the
money’ (and you know who you are), please stop it. It’s .69p. Delete the game,
go to the free apps and GET A LIFE.

I feel better for having said that.
Anyway, in short, there is a whole gaming world out there to be downloaded, so
close this blog and go have fun.
But do come back again and don't forget you can follow me on Twitter @Kainen007 or send me a Email kainen007@live.co.uk with what games you would like me to review or just leave a comment on this page.

Happy Gaming....

A little bit of @Rundegun and Co-Op play.

OH is that what I think it is?
OK so I'm going to pretend that I'm cool, I know, wont be hard.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo we all know snowboarding is cool and I have been playing the 3 best snowboarding games on the Iphone and also been dipping my toes into online co-op.

I'm splitting this blog in two.

So lets get started with Call of Duty Call of the Dead, it is no secret that I love Zombie games and iff you did not know that "You do now" and with that in mind I loved this game it stars, Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund as well as the Master of Zombie george romero.
This game plays a little like the normal Zombie Romps you expect and a little like Left4Dead and it works well.
This way to the salad bar

I got to play it in 4 player mode 3 player mode and thanks to @Rundegun 2 player and I think I had much more fun that way and feel its a must to play with friends with mics or at a push random players but a mic is a must as myself and @Rundegun found out the hard way as it was very difficult to play the game when half the team is going off and not helping out.
The map was fun to play (Set mostly on a ship and a bit of a surrounding area in winter) the map had allot of fun things to do and places to go and felt open enough not to get bored.
For some reason @Rundegun wanted to be Sarah all the time but I liked the little snip its that Robert Englund came out with and found them funny and some even linked to his ELMst days.
All in all I think the this map pack was worth it just for the COTD map and I'm still playing it witch is a good thing.

Next up is Arny of two 40th Day and what a wasted opportunity that was, trying to get a co-op game on this thing is like wrestling a Rancor and that includes if you have a friend to invite.
We tried time and time again and when we did get a game it would kick us out of it or if there was a cut-scene or even just ending a lvl it would drop the co-op, this all adds up to not being able to play the game much at all and a great wanting to throw the disk in the bin and then burn said bin and then burn the ashes.
So you see its hard to review this game on co-op apart from to say there are better co-op games out there like Saints Row 2 that even with its bugs it was still a fantastic game to play co-op.

So what do you think? please leave a comment and let me know what you think of co-op gaming and whats your favorite?

In my next Blog there will be more Co-op gaming 4 SnowBoarding games and 3D gaming has arrived and yes its GREAT.

A big thank you to @Rundegun and you really should follow him on Twitter.

So until next time,

Excelsior!
